Desktop App: Presence
In the ringfree desktop application, your presence indicator not only shows colleagues when you’re free or busy, but also adapts automatically to whatever you’re doing. Follow these simple steps to control and understand your status:
Click the Presence Icon
Locate the small green dot next to your profile picture in the upper‐left corner of the app and click on it.
Choose Your Status
A menu will drop down showing all available states—Available, Busy, Do Not Disturb, Away, or Custom Status. Simply click the one that best reflects your availability, and the icon will update immediately.
Automatic Status Updates
Communicator Application will also adjust your presence for you:
When you answer or make a call, your status switches to Busy (red).
If you mute or silence notifications, it goes to Do Not Disturb.
After a period of inactivity, it changes to Away (orange).
By combining manual controls with these intelligent, activity-based updates, the desktop application makes it easy for everyone on your team to know exactly when you’re ready to collaborate and when you shouldn’t be disturbed.
