Android: Call Parking

This video provides a clear, step-by-step demonstration of how to use the call parking feature within the Ring Free Communicator Mobile Application. The video covers the following key topics:

Parking an Active Call:
Shows how to park a call while on an active conversation. Users are guided to:

  • Click the options icon during a call.
  • Select the "Transfer Call" option.
  • Enter a park extension number within the configured range (in this example, extensions 681 to 690).
  • Please note that the call parking numbers may change based on your system. You can have multiple parking lots. Usually, we do 701-720. But it could be different based on your preference.
  • Choose "Direct Transfer" to successfully park the call at the selected park extension (e.g., 681).

Retrieving a Parked Call:
Explains the process for retrieving a call that has been parked. Users simply need to:

  • Dial the park extension number (e.g., 681) where the call was parked.
  • The call is then retrieved, and the user is connected.

Configured Park Range:
Notes that the system is configured with a specific range of park extensions (681-690), which users should use for parking and retrieving calls. The park extension range varies; please contact your administrator for this information.
